The Ultimate Dolphin Swim offers a fully immersive swimming experience, allowing participants to swim in the water while engaging closely with these magnificent marine mammals. Guests must be able to swim to participate, ensuring a safe and enjoyable encounter.

See how the team trains, enriches and cares for the animals. Watch training up close, help with a live training session, feed a variety of animals and explore back-of-house areas. This tour does not include touching animals or professional photos. Interaction times may change on the day.
Trainer for a Day
Land & Water Experience

Throughout the day, you’ll learn about the care and training of our marine animals and get involved in a range of hands-on activities. The day finishes with an exclusive, private in-water experience with our dolphins — an unforgettable way to cap off your Trainer for the Day adventure!

This is more than a Behind the Scenes tour. Over three hours, you'll be guided by our experienced team, explore areas of the Sanctuary most visitors don't normally see and discover the hands-on work that goes into caring for wildlife every day.

- Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- If you renew while your current membership is still active, your new expiry date will be 12 months from the current expiry.
- You may continue using your existing Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary membership card. A new card can be issued on request during your next visit — replacement cards beyond this incur a $10 fee.
- All children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult upon entry.
- Memberships are valid only for the named individuals on the pass. ID must be presented upon entry.
- Memberships do not apply to special events, school excursions, or birthday party packages.
- No refunds or extensions will be provided if you are unable to attend during your 12-month membership term, including for reasons beyond our control.
- If a child turns three years old during the membership period, a separate individual pass must be purchased from the date of their third birthday.
- Some sanctuary activities have age requirements. It is the responsibility of the membership holder (or their parent/guardian) to ensure these requirements are met.
The fine print
Cancellations & bookings
- We do not offer monetary refunds for cancellations. Instead, a non-transferable voucher valid for 12 months will be issued, provided you cancel with at least 7 days' notice.
- All booking changes or cancellations that require a new voucher incur a $30 administration fee per booking.
- The sanctuary reserves the right to cancel experiences without notice due to safety concerns (for example lightning, hail or other adverse weather). If we are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be provided.
- Experiences proceed in rain or bad weather. No changes or refunds will be made on the day due to such conditions.
- The sanctuary reserves the right to cancel a booking without refund if false or misleading information has been provided.
